Katie Matten first joined RATIONALE in 2016 after an impressive career working within some of Australia’s leading beauty clinics and spas.

With an Advanced Diploma of Dermal Science, in addition to her Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Katie is respected as an industry expert and authority on all things skin health. Katie is driven by her passion for education, and prides herself on having worked with pre-eminent Dermatologists, Nurses and Dermal Therapists around Australia. She has a specialised understanding of skin health, formulation science, treatment modalities and cosmeceuticals.

A RATIONALE Client since 2011, Katie was first introduced to the brand when Richard Parker, RATIONALE Founder, personally performed her Signature Skin Consultation. It was an instant meeting of the minds, and Katie knew that she would one day return to the brand in a professional capacity.

Today, Katie works closely with Richard, assisting in the ideation and development of new RATIONALE formulations, as well as creating new treatment offerings and evolving RATIONALE’s innovative range of treatment modalities.

Under her guidance, the RATIONALE Education Team has grown significantly, with specialised roles being introduced to train and inspire our outstanding Team of Consultants and Skin Therapists, as well as RATIONALE’s many Medical Agency partners.

Katie loves nothing more than hosting dinner parties for family and friends, taking delight in the details like researching new recipes, designing three-course menus and creating the perfect playlist. With a creative heart, Katie enjoys audiobooks, writing, and letting her imagination run wild with pen and paper.
